Description

Rather interesting granitic gneiss rock S-facing at mid-elevation, accessed with mechanical lift connecting with straightforward hiking trail approach + descent.

The two route versions are both long, and share a common lower half of moderate difficulty. Then there are two upper half versions, one difficult + long (itinerario difficile) going to the highest (W) summit, the other moderate + long (itinerario medio) going to the lower (E) summit. There is an optional (interesting) moderate VF connection from the top of the moderate version to the highest summit.

Both route versions have abundant opportunities for climbing "Free" with hands and feet directly on the rock, using the VF hardware + cable for Protection only, not for Aid -- though the moderate parts have abundant fixed hardware (rungs / stemples) available as desired. Main protection is steel cable (unlike many routes around Lake Como and Lecco which use chain), so a reduced-fall-distance VF self-belay device such as Skylotec Rider can be used for greater safety in case the climber takes a fall.
