Description

This is the large wall right of Wawona Dome proper. Most of this rock is undeveloped and likely unexplored. There is potential for some big, difficult roof lines as well as some fun moderates. In some places the rock is dirty and covered in lichen, and in others it is perfect.

Getting There

No matter how you approach, it is long and dirty. You can approach via Wo Dome and cut across at the top for about 3.5 miles one way, or you can hike towards Salamander falls starting at the Swinging Bridge trailhead and hike up the second, large V-shaped gully which is about 2 miles one way. Either approach involves bushwhacking, sock-eating grass, and charcoal-filled dirt. We found the easiest approach was up the gully and to just below the middle of the wall where traversing right, left, or up to the rock was not too difficult.
