Description

Glava Secera (or Sugar Loaf in English) is the third area on the right hand side of the gorge as you head in. It is easily identifiable by the pointy tower visible from the road. This area has 18 bolted climbs ranging from 5.7 to 5.11d with most of them vert or slab. It is a little higher than the previous area and has great views.

Getting There

There are a number of ways to reach this area but the most straight forward is to hike following a path starting at the Big Dream area. You can park your car in the one spot there or across the road, or further up the canyon, just don't block the road. Follow the cliff-line down to the stream and follow a rough climbers trail that crosses the stream multiple times. The path, which is marked here and there curves up out of the dense forest to the more dry area and forks. The fork that goes up goes to the area called Naissus Route Climbing Challenge 2009 and the fork that goes straight forward continues on to Glava Secera. You will see the obvious point pillar and hike up the trail and rock towards it. There are some routes on the pillar as well as wrapping around the cliff line. The approach starting from Big Dream is 15-20 minutes.
