Description
**Update 09/16/2022: A major flash flood this month has changed the landscape & the starts of most of the routes.
A dusting of dirt now covers the first 15-20 feet of most of the lower route, & the first bolt of “School for Ants” has been sheared clean off.
A good rain ( without the flash flooding) should help a lot in cleaning up the starts of the climbs, but beware & a stick clip is recommended for the time being.**
This new area is shady until about 1PM peak summer and gets more shady after that. The climbing is on the west side of the Fashion Slab formation right on the drainage/creek.
There are sport routes here, with nothing harder than 5.10+. The routes are 45-110' and are on steep, clean, well-featured granite, the crux generally being near the start.
Since the climbing is right by seasonal waterfalls in the spring through summer, the area can be quite loud, but keeps things generally cool - even on hot days. Have your hand-signals down: it is often hard to hear your partner until the creek subsides.
NOTE: The consensus for this area is the climbing is generally harder for short people and easier for tall people. I have changed some of the grades to simply "5.10", as they may vary up to 4 letter grades.
