Description

This area is a work in progress. Rockfall over the last seasons makes access to the wall difficult.

There is a traversing line along the base of the left wall, and a two rap bolt anchor to the right of the "platform tree".

The source of the rockfall is from a large eroding overhang above the low angle dihedral at the top of the traverse line. It is a very safe bet that more large rockfall will occur. Helmets aren't going to save you from the boulders that can be let loose from there, but you should still wear them and avoid climbing here after large rainfall and in early spring after the freeze-thaw cycle.

Use the rap bolts to rappel exit back to the railroad grade as opposed to down scrambling through loose talus and boulders, believe me its the better option.

Getting There

4th class scramble up the rockfall left of Choss Wall proper, then bushwack through the last section of thorns and underbrush to a platform directly between a large tree and the wall on the left side of the rockfall .
