Description
Little Yosemite Valley is a flat valley at 6200' along the Merced River, above Nevada Falls and upstream from the main Yosemite Valley.
Most climbers only visit the far west end, while hiking to or descending from Half Dome.
It has several granite domes and cliffs on both side of the Merced - Moraine Dome and Sugarloaf Dome on the north side; Bunnell Point and Cascade Cliff on the south side.
It was burned fairly badly by a fire in 2014 and the vegetation has been growing back since then.
