Description

The Long March Wall is a tall 50 plus meter wall with only 3 established routes on the cliff as of Feb. 2019. The 45 minute uphill approach will surely keep the crowds at bay, but the hearty adventurous folks who decide to make the trip up there will surely be rewarded with some of the best and longest single-pitch climbs in all of Shigu. The crag has potential for a lot more development and I'd imagine with the next few years more routes will get developed.

Getting There

Approach to The Long March Wall is the same as Socks Wall but you just need to go another 10 minutes uphill. Once through the rock "notch" on the trail and yet another set of rock "stairs", look left and you will find the tall, slightly overhung orange wall. There is a short, loose, and steep climber's path that leads directly to the base of the crag's namesake route, "The Long March". To access the long 52 meter 5.11 on the far right side of the trail, you will do another short loose scramble to the base and then walk right a few meters to the base.
