One of the major bouldering spots in Puerto Rico. Rock type: granodiorite and quartz diorite.
Not sure what's the latest status, but this blog from 2015 has plenty of details:

It contains this marked-up map (zoom way out to see all the areas):

BEHAVIOR
-----------------
- Always ask for permission. This is not a developed climbing area, this is still the backyard of locals and many boulders are on private property.
- Please use the specific parking areas. The parking is limited, so carpooling is the best option. DO NOT block any road or entrances!
- No loud music, yelling, or screaming. Even though you feel secluded the area echoes big time, so keep your macho grunts and Fu*@s! to yourself unless you want people to think someone is being murdered in the forest.
- This is NOT a dog friendly area, there are many big stray dogs and almost every local has one. There is no need to provoke unbearable barking or a dog fight.

Most of these bouldering areas are not frequented and will not have easy access even if the descriptions of the areas says it does.
There are a lot of local climbers going out climbing granite blocs every week, be kind, offer help and they will reward you with proper beta. You can also pass by the El Bloque Bouldering Gym in San Juan and have the most chance of success on finding one of these climbers while also renting your pads. Mar 4, 2025
