Description

This expansive section of woodlands sports one boulder problem and two small undeveloped (to my knowledge) sport climbing areas. The Boulder is along West Branch Indian Creek and the possible sport climbs are at two abandoned rock quarries in this area. The rock is pretty dirty and the climbs would be short, but one of the walls is at least as tall as Livezey.

Getting There

For the boulder, you can park around Woodcrest Ave and enter the park where Woodcrest ends. Take a right on the trail until it splits then go left to cross West Branch Indian Creek. The boulder is along the creek on your right.

Quarry 1 could have some cool bouldering, however it would require a pretty ridiculous amount of cleanup do to vegetation growth and garbage. Quarry 2 could have 1 or 2 sport lines, 1 or 2 trad lines and some bouldering. However there is so much erosion off of the top that it will be decades before the rock doesn't cake with mud every time it rains. May 12, 2019
