Description Suggest change

Over 150 feet tall, Jack's Knob is very distinct tower as it rises from the flats of the San Rafael Desert. From what I could find, the tower was first climbed in Nov 2007. The nice thing about Jack's Knob is that solitude is guaranteed and the rock quality is pretty decent. It should be noted there appears to be at least 3 routes established on the tower along with a free route by Darren Knezek (2017).

Getting There Suggest change

Take a good map or GPS. Some of the roads have been closed. A high clearance vehicle is highly recommended. Here is how we approached the tower.

-Drive 11.9 miles east on the Lower San Rafael Road from UT 24 (same road to maze district).
-Turn left (north/northeast at 38.5375, -110.4491) and drive ~4.6 miles to Saucer Basin Road at a slight T junction.
-Turn right onto Saucer Basin Road and drive 3.5 miles northeast.
-Turn right (still on Saucer Basin Road) and drive 3.7-8 miles to the Jack's Knob Road (looks less traveled).
-Turn right and drive 4.3 miles to the base of the tower.
