Description Suggest change

Bolting limestone mostly single pitch routes a short hike above the lake. Nice view, close bolts, 5-25 minute uphill approach, loose rock, very well signed, craiggin. I think there's maybe 5 (or more?) different areas, but I've only thus far visited one.

This area was newly bolted, and this contains many loose rocks. In my single trip there I heard many shouts of "sasso!" and saw a few concussion-size rocks fall very close to unattentive heads meandering carelessly around the base of the cliff. I don't think we ever pulled a rope down without at least a few small pebbles coming loose. I recommend HELMET, STAYING AWARE while belaying (looking up for falling rocks), and staying aware or not under someone climbing if you don't have to be.

Getting There Suggest change

Park on the side of the road just before "Trattoria e Pizzeria i BODEGA" - just about anywhere after driving under the arches support the bridge at the beginning of this road and the second overpass crossing this road a few hundred meters up the road. Hike out to past the trattoria, go slightly left and then right - the trail begin just behind the small field behind the trattoria - across from the start of the rock-slide-protection fence that would probably contain a raptor. There should be a sign noting the beginning of the trail. Follow the white/red/white blazes up the beautifully made switchback gravel trail. Maybe one of the most well-marked/made approach trails I've ever been on. Follow the wood signs at the forks to reach the cliff of your choice.
