Description

Sea cliffs on the eastern coast of Hassel Island, US Virgin Islands. The rock is a mixture of granite and sandstone usually separated into shallow canyons that form one overhanging wall and directly beside it a slab face. Rock is moderately stable. Some limited deep water soloing opportunities and a few good boulders between a lot of good sport faces waiting to be bolted.

Getting There

Access by boat or kayak (or you could swim if you are super keen) from anywhere in Long Bay (Haven Sight, Charlotte Amalie.) Make your way across to Hassel Island and land on the beach with one red roofed building on the NE corner of Hassel Island. Follow the path from the red roofed building around the coast until you come to some historic battlements. From here down climb onto the cliffs and the Climbing area is accessed by traversing on terrain from 5.5 to 5.10 from here. Alternatively you could take your boat/ Kayak around the eastern coast and land anywhere along the cliffs however this is not easy when the swell is up.
