Description
A short cliffline in Snake Hill WMA with incredible rock quality, and difficult, bouldery routes. The routes climb more like granite sport climbs than sandstone.
Getting There
From I-68, get off Exit 7 (Pierpont Road), and head east down Cheat Road, towards Cheat Lake. Turn right on Tyrone-Avery Road, and take another right at the intersection with Tyrone Road. After about 1/4 mile, turn left onto Snake Hill Road. Continue approximately 2 miles, and park at the gravel pull-off on the left, as the road makes a sharp turn to the right. This should be the second Snake Hill WMA parking area you get to. Hike down the logging road until you arrive at a fork. Continue straight (on the left fork), until arriving at a field with a capped-off gas well. At the other end of the field, follow a trail that quickly turns into a logging road. The cliff will soon be on your left.
