Description
The area closest to the road cut through the ridge-line is known as Gypsum Gap. Access here is through a different pullout off the highway and some hiking. This gets you to some nicely concentrated areas with pretty good rock quality. See the beta photo from Damon Johnston for an overview of the areas (Pull-off Petros, Warm-ups, The Maze, and Ice Cube Boulders).
Getting There
Use the turnoff on the north side of CO Hwy 141 that is south of the petroglyph turnoff. It is a 2-track that travels up a hill and through a gate to a small pond where you can park. Approach on the slabs or between them depending on your desired destination - this takes about 20 minutes.
