Description
Point of Rocks offers adventurous mostly trad or mixed climbing spread across numerous crags surrounding the peak. In addition to the namesake cluster of points just off the Peavine Trail, the South Face features a couple dozen quality, sunny climbs, while the West side hides shaded slot canyons and intriguing towers ripe for exploration. For those seeking an adventure route, the Ridgeline Traverse is a fun linkup along the top of spires with an almost alpine feel. This area holds many intersecting slots which offer a ton of fun adventurous scrambling.
Getting There
Located just north of Storm Ranch off the Peavine Trail, the nearest parking is the 4-5 car pull off on N Granite Gardens Dr and hike to the Peavine on an eastern foot trail. Or park behind Three Sisters Consignment and hike/bike in on the Gateway trailhead. Or walk/bike in from the Prescott Peavine Trailhead.
