Private property in the area and no established trail. The climbing area is behind a fire station and a forest ranger lives in that community as well. be quiet and do not disturb or be rude. I have talked to many of the fire fighters and home owners, they are easy going so far but lets not ruin it.
According to some friendly local police and some firefighters, do not to enter this area via the gate. Use an alternate path about 100' down the road since they would be liable if we got hurt entering via their property. GPS coordinates for the alternate path are 33.646703,-117.443247 (now shown on the MP El Cariso bouldering area page).
Description
The right of arete of this rock has been top rope for years... now it’s a nice lil' sport lead... named Oh Shiela 5.7.
Getting There
This is the next boulder down trail from No Fat Chicks. The trail drops you off at the top of the climb.
[Hide Photo] Oh Sheila is where the black line is with yellow x... and the 5.7 arete and all washed up is on left... This image is from the Southern California Bouldering Guide.
[Hide Comment] You could technically lead starting from Washed Out into this (my buddy Kevin soloed this when he did the FA of Washed Out)

[Hide Comment] Oh Sheila is the right bolted line that starts on the slab (about 5ft. to the right of washed out). It seems that MP has grouped these climbs together. The left bolted line has been there for a bit and is 5.7 (the old bolts are directly above washed out and need replacement).

[Hide Comment] Hey all, would love your input on the best way to group these routes using my admin toolkit. Should the slab have a different name than the route "Oh Sheila"?
