Access Issue: The Cava Rossa Sector (right) is officially closed (private property) Details

The left sectors have no restriction. The right sector (Cava Rossa) is closed with a gate but is the most frequented, with an easy passage on the right of the gate.

Description

A well-bolted and less crowded sector of Monsummano. Routes from 5.10 to 5.13a. NE facing cliff so it should be shaded in the afternoon.

Getting There

Park as for the other sectors in Monsummano (Monsummano Parking).

Walk up the trail past Cava Rossa, Cava Grigia, and Il Paretone. Once you reach Il Paretone, leave the main trail and walk the side-trail beneath the terraced quarry. Pilastro Rosso is on your left side at the end of this terraced section.
