Description

This is a lower angled slab that has some sport routes. A great location for beginners to learn to lead or to warmup. This was first developed by Jared Hancock and Brad Caldwell as a top rope site. A top rope anchor was added by them and most of the routes were TR'ed on the right side in the 5.4-5.6 range. The area name comes from their daughters names. With permission, the top rope routes were turned into beginner lead routes. Additional routes were added to the left in the slightly harder range.

Getting There

Take the right fork from the Main Parking area. When you get to the X-Wall turn left. Continue past the Arch Wall and go up the hand line. The next cliff on the right you come to is the Hominid Wall.

[Hide Comment] Routes to the right of How Do You Want Your Eggs are well bolted and go at:

1 - 5.8 A0 or 10+ - Pull on the draw over the roof or try and figure out the crazy high step
2 - 5.6 - Well bolted
3 - 5.4 - Very generously bolted. Good first lead

[Hide Comment] We named this area the "Flowering Homind" area when Jared Hancock and I FAed many of the routes back in 2013. It's named after our daughters Lily and Lucy (which were the original names for Nose Over Toes and Beginner Route) The routes were originally free soloed and then set for TR but those bolts were removed/stolen, the routes retrobolted, renamed and FAs claimed by others for some reason...
