Description

Roadside practice area with low-angle ice climbs up to 200' (and possibly some other options). Take two ropes, and extra cord or webbing for the tree rappel anchors at the top.

R Hall Note: The angle is so low that frequently this is just snow-covered ice.

Getting There

Located on the south side of Route 2 in Shelburne, about five miles east of Gorham and just 400' or so east of the Timberland Campground. The parking lot for a now-closed rest area is on the north side of Route 2 directly opposite. Approach straight in through the woods (100').
