Description

The range of mountains inland from Cape Hedo. Originally discovered by local climbing Master Masayuki Higa. Years later American Climbers Matthew Lewis and Brent Goode went on an expedition to find new routes and unclimbed rocks for hours they cut through thick vines and giant banana spiders to find the Perfect line..... or anything that could be climbed. then they found it a sweet line just begging to get plugged with nuts , cams, and hexes. Matt went on the sharp end and climbed up the mass of stone. The rain started to fall but even wet rock couldn't stop the sending. Then as Matt approached a comfortable ledge. He set up the belay and brought up the honorable Brent Goode. Courageously they set up a sling and rappelled down to save stone for next time. 5 months later the line was extended to the top finished. There are numerous other routes here that have been climbed by the local Master of Stone Masayuki Higa that i did my best to translate for all to enjoy. This area has no Bolted Routes and as of now Is strictly TRAD. Be cautious of falling rock and always wear a helmet.

Getting There

Park on the side of the road on the way to the park. and walk up towards the mountain onto a road with a chain blocking the entrance. you will walk past some farms and will pass an abandoned car on the left side. keep going until you reach the base of the trail. there should be a sign stating to not take any rocks with you etc. continue up the trail until you reach a shrine inside the mountain. From this location turn left along the mountain until you reach tha base of the wall where you want to climb. you can also just continue up the mountain untill you reach the top and then rappell down the mountain to climb any section of the mountain you want.
