Description Suggest change

South facing crag. Moderate top roping and trad.  Mainly face climbing.  But also, and unique for the Gunpowder, a couple of cracks with honest-to-god fist jams, arm bars, and off-width style fun. Includes a big overhang with several hard routes. Beautiful spot. Right on the water. Blue Herons. Fly fishing.

Getting There Suggest change

On the north bank of the Gunpowder near the Bunker Hill parking area.  (Note:  Google Maps will route you to the south bank, approaching from York Road near Hereford High School.  Don’t take the bait.  You’ll have to ford the river. OK in the summer. Not so much in the winter.). Take Masemore Road off of Mt. Cramel Road to reach the parking area on the north bank. From here it’s a five-minute hike to the crag.  Again, you cannot get there via Bunker Hill Road on the south side.  There is no bridge over the river.
