Description
This is a large arĂȘte with a crack going up its northern face and, if you are smart and climb it a winter afternoon, sun all over its western. No good landing to be seen. Best if you can downclimb, I think.
Getting There
I found it the first time by going south along the ridgeline from the "Life is Precarious" boulder. There is separating the two a sort of rockfall area ("talus deposit," says google), which is visible from the trail going along the base (marked in red blazes), so this rockfall (or talus) is how I gauged my ascent the second time. If you were to follow the southern edge of this talus almost all the way to the gap in the cliff whence the smaller rocks must once have come, the boulder would be on your right (south-ish).
(I'm not putting it in the Tibbs area because I do not recognize any of those boulders, and I looked around this boulder a fair amount, suggesting that the Tibbs area might be a little farther south.)
