Description

A decently shaped, small, free-standing spire of Schnebly stone with only one route so far. Much of the rock is quite friable and/or blocky, but the existing route cleaned up well with some major trundling, and is a well-worthwhile quick summit tick. We unearthed 5-6 scorpions while cleaning loose rock off after the FA.

Getting There

Refer to the approach description in the Cirque overview. Scorpion Spire is about 100' uphill from where you leave the wash. We trimmed out and cairned a path up to the base of the south (downhill) face. The quickest approach of any of these Cirque climbs.
