Description Suggest change

This sector is made up of two separate areas that lie just beyond The Bowling Alley across a large gully if you are hiking west toward The Vineyard.  Currently there is potential for more fun lines ranging from 60 - 100ft. This little zone is characterized by a multitude of narrow vertical slots and pockets that are found all over the cliff face on slab to slightly overhung wall angles.

The first area is access via a ledge with the climbs starting ~25 ft. off the ground.  There is plenty of room to belay and be comfortable at the base of these climbs, but it is not an ideal "hang".  It is also not recommended for dogs, kids, or accident prone individuals.  A fall from the ledge would not end well.

The second area can be accessed by hiking along the cliff base until you see the large hanging pillar with a fixed line currently in place and a nice looking diagonal line, Lateralus (5.11b).

Development here is still underway as of summer 2020, so please leave fixed lines where they are, and be prepared to help with the cleaning as these routes are still pretty fresh.

Getting There Suggest change

Hike the trail as for The Prow and The Bowling Alley then continue along the cliffline following a moderately worn in path. The base of The Slot Machine has had an initial cleaning, but there is surely more to come as new routes are established.
