Description Suggest change

At 9,000 feet Bunker Creek offers tolerable summertime bouldering. However, the best conditions are during late spring or early fall. The thickly forested area offers much more seclusion and adventure for those that seek it. The welded tuff comes with varying quality. Many boulders are complete choss while others are forgotten gems.

Getting There Suggest change

From Cedar City, take Highway 14 East to Highway 148 (this is also the turn for Cedar Breaks National Monument). Drive through Cedar Breaks (no fee required if you're just driving through) and make a right (east) on Highway 143. Take Hwy. 143 for 13 miles take a left onto bunker creek road (081) there is a small sign labeled 'bunker creek' just before the turn off. The Bunker Creek road is located about 1 mile west of Panguitch Lake. Recently the dirt road has been improved and is now passable by low-clearance vehicles.
