Description
The closest karst sinkhole to Jacob Lake. Cliffs range from 10'-50'. Chimney's, Choss, Batcrap. Everything you would want in an area. There is a campsite here, sometimes you will find an RV or two parked in the sink.
Getting There
From the 89A at Jacob Lake, turn south onto highway 67. You will follow this road for .3 miles until you come to a cross-roads. Take a left (turning east) at the intersection onto a Forest Road (there is a horse riding business on the corner as well as a Forest Service sign. Going the opposite way if you were going to go see the actual lake at Jacob Lake). Keep following the dirt road for a little less than a mile. At the next intersection, turn right onto Forest Road 200A. Keep on the 200A for approximately a mile. On the left side (east) you will see a road that turns off and climbs gradually up and around. Take the road. If you have a super low clearance vehicle, might want to park here. Most vehicles with decent clearance and good driving can make it into the sink. You're there!
