Description Suggest change

Nice concentration of boulder problems up on the south face of Mt. Elden. Standout problems include Skyline arête and Manual Buck. There is certainly potential for more problems up here! To best find this area hike around on the base and look for an obvious clump of fir trees.

Getting There Suggest change

Navigate to Ice Nine - Hike east along the base of Elden for approx. 5 minutes or 1/10 mile. Keep an eye out for a warm up crack problem right along the trail. From here hike up through an oak thicket - Path of least resistance follows rock slabs to the left and you will find the large Skyline boulder. Approximately 50 feet uphill you will find a small sometimes shady alcove with the Jabroni problems as well as a few others and a hard project that starts on a large undercling. If you continue uphill and to the left you will find The Fast Lane and a few more problems. To the east and close to a large snag is The Wailing Parrot. If you look uphill and see a small group of fir trees you will find Manual Buck and a few other good warm ups and easy slabs.
