Description
The Mile High Club is a collection of two boulders each with three routes on them. Both of the boulders are completely shaded, however they dry relatively quickly. The routes are fun combined with the hike, make for a great warm-up before heading back down to the Rhino Boulders.
Getting There
From the parking lot, walk on the trail which starts where all of the signs are. turn left when you meet back up with the road, in order to cross the bridge. After the bridge jump the guardrail on the right to find the Birdhouse trail. Continue up the main trail past gritstone and interstate park as if headed toward winter block. You will eventually come to a spot where the trail flattens off. After this point, there is a series of shorter switchbacks, that lead right up to the boulders. On the final switch back while your left side faces uphill, you should be able to easily spot the two boulders. Total approach time is about 25 minutes.
