Description
Named for the former Canadian International College which was previously a campus of Notre Dame University now the Tenth Street Campus of Selkirk College. A more fitting name would be The Fairview Bluffs. A collection of discontinuous granite slabs and walls. Beautiful views of town and a west facing aspect make this a great place to watch the sun go down. The area goes through phases of mossy and clean depending on the amount of attention it has received. As of Fall 2020 several of the original plus some new routes have been cleaned. Most climbs are in the easy to moderate range with a few more difficult sport routes.
Numbered crags make up the main bluffs visible from town. They start at the road and generally increase as you gain elevation and move lookers right across the slope.
Getting There
From Nelson Ave turn up Elwyn St and drive all the way up past the college to the Svaboda Rd parking lot. From there walk to the end of the parking lot watching for a trail on the right hand side. Alternatively continue walking along Svaboda Rd for another couple hundred meters watching for a faint steep trail that will lead you up to Road Side Crag, Shaded Wall, Sisters Wall and Garden Wall.
