Centurion Tower

Description

Perched slightly off the mesa, this prominent tower gazes stoically over CO Highway 141 and the Dolores River like a proud centurion on guard duty.

Getting There

From Gateway, drive 13 miles South on CO 141. The tower will be obvious on your right. Park at a pulloff on the right side of CO 141, and hike up the bouldery hillside to the tower. It takes approximately fifteen minutes to reach the base.
