Description

Huge buttresses of broken up granite on either side of the highway. High elevation, closed in Winter.

Getting There

The Chipmunk Flat area encompasses the rock surrounding the Chipmunk Flat dispersed campground, just West of Sonora Pass.

Four large broken up granite buttresses are on the North side of the highway. You can't miss it.

There are numerous pullouts for parking depending on what climbs you are heading to.
