Description

Although not really an exciting destination and offering only 1-2 pitch climbing, Baylor Canyon has the northernmost climbable rock on the west side of the Organ Mountains and south of highway 70.

Getting There

To get to the rock, hike up the nice & easy BLM-maintained trail, and then bushwack off trail for a short way toward the rock. Stuff far left of the trail may be more difficult to access due to excessive Cat's Claw and Prickly Pear, but the Three Stooges to the right are very easily accessible. Approaches could take between 0.75-1.5 hrs, with most of it on a good trail. https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/new-mexico/baylor-canyon-pass-via-baylor-canyon-road
