Description

There are a number of boulders and short cliff bands scattered along the the ridge that forms the east rim of Steinke Basin.  The top of the ridge is a flat plateau, and most of the "boulders" are short cliff bands on east end or north slope.  When climbing out here you will have the area to yourself, except for the occasional hiker passing on the Ice Age Trail.

Getting There

Park at the Ice Age Trail off Hwy 113, hike briefly until it intersects with the "Upland Trail" and head straight into the woods for ~200ft. The first cliff band you will encounter is a huge block, the location of "Medallion" and "24 Carat".  From there the boulders are along a series of cliff bands which appear along the north side of the ridge, heading west.
