Description

"Almost" an island, and it certainly feels like one. Access to the top requires climbing a very slippery chimney (some bolts + anchor, 5.6). Home of classic traverses such as "Sans Retour", "Tabarly" and "Grande Croisière", as well some beautiful long climbs Rêve de Pierre et Dents de la Mer.

Getting There

From En-Vau, head back inland for about 200 m, and take the blue trail on your left (looking inland) that goes to the "col" separating the Castelvieil plateau and mainland. Follow the trail until almost at the col, then head left. You first pass the so-called "Trou du Canon", an obvious hole in the rock, which is used to access a few climbs such as the Traversée Raymond. Further on, you come across the chimney that you climb to gain the plateau.
