Description

Vast limestone face, climbs vary from short (200m) to very long (700m), from easy (5+) to hard (8a), and from sport climbing to all-trad. Beautiful rock with surprisingly straight-in cracks. An excellent venue with diverse climbs. Good conditions in hot temperatures.
The Sardinia multipitch guidebook "Pietra di Luna" by Maurizio Oviglia has all the information you need.

Getting There

Drive to Oliena. Coming from the East, you drive under the walls before getting to Oliena. Drive towards the walls (see photo) and park where suitable. From there, hike to the so-called Preda ‘e Littu, a well-visible limestone rock in the middle of the forest, well below the wall. From this rock, pick up a well-travelled, small path (cairns) that becomes path 406A, which takes you to the start of the NW ridge, a classic. From here, traverse below the wall to the resp. route, or continue on the path if climbing on the West face.
