Peak Lake

Wyoming > Wind River Range

Description

Semi secluded region west of Titcomb Basin. A great loop adventure to take the Highline trail over Shannon Pass and on into Peak Lake. From there head up the valley to Knapsack Col where you descend the Twins Glacier to the head of Titcomb Basin. The climbing possibilities along the way are awesome.

Getting There

Elkhart Park trailhead. Just past Little Senaca Lake while most folks bear right on their way to Island Lake, take a left and continue on the Highline Trail thru the beautiful Jean Lake region. The map on page 150 of the Kelsey guide is self explanatory.
