Description

The creation of the Port-Cartier-Sept-Îles Reserve dates back to 1965; it is included in the vast boreal forest sector and near the towns of Port-Cartier and Sept-Îles, from which it derives its name. This territory, which contains more than 1,000 bodies of water and fifteen rivers, is a favorite place for outdoor activities. The lover of solitude and vast wilderness will find the beneficial calm of the great outdoors.
The reserve's water system is a wonderful place for sport fishermen to measure their skill at the whims of good-sized brook trout, as well as river salmon at Rochers and MacDonald. Nearly 75% of the lakes in the reserve have never been caught! It is therefore a paradise for adventure and the discovery of still virgin water bodies. The areas of Lake Arthur (north of the territory) and Walker Lake offer pleasant surprises, both in terms of fishing quality and the beauty and beauty of the water.
A stay in the Port-Cartier-Sept-Îles Wildlife Reserve will transport you to the land of grandeur and breathtaking scenery, in a natural setting that leaves no one indifferent
