Access Issue: RAIN AND WET ROCK: The sandstone in Red Rocks is fragile and is very easily damaged when it is wet. Details

Description

This small crag hosts four or so climbs: A pair of steep, fun lines up the central formation and two shorter routes on either side. Worthy for a quick stop on your way to or from other First Pullout areas; the routes, and rock quality, are way better than they look from below. The area faces due south (towards the road) and catches sun.

Getting There

This bit is tricky. I recommend using GPS and/or finding the Back Fifty which is a hidden, NE-facing wall just above the wash. From the Back Fifty scramble due east to a small tunnel formed by some leaning blocks. Just on the other side, on your left, is Tortuga Tower.
