All of the crags within the New River Gorge proper are on national parklands, and drone use is prohibited here. There has been some discussion about places to launch drones that are not on park property, and then flying them over the gorge. This is super poor form; don't do it. Park regulations prohibit all drone use over the boundaries without a permit.
Description
This is a beautiful block with some of the NRG's best hard problems on it: Half Moon Tilt (v8) and the highball Man on the Moon (v10).
Getting There
About a 1 minute approach from the road. From the parking lot for Cotton Top, take the obvious approach trail up to the cliffline. In less a minute, the trail to the cliff switches back to the right while an old miners road cuts to the left. Keep on this road briefly until you are staring up at the awesomeness of this boulder.
