[Hide Comment] How hard is it to find climbing partners in the Canary Islands if one comes solo for several months? I climb up to 5.12a/b (extreme limit is 5.12a/b) and I am pondering the possibility to come climb in the Canaries for the entire Winter 2020 (January to April)… but is it realistic to think I can find partners on a regular basis? [Hide Comment] Originally from France and currently based in USA, I will be on the island for a work trip from Jan 20th to Jan 24th 2020.

Instead of flying back trough Geneva and climb in the Alps (where I am originally from), I am contemplating staying longer to climb on the island. Would you be there from Jan 25th until the end of the month ? Nov 26, 2019

[Hide Comment] What is climbing here in the summer like? I'll be in Spain in July and would like to get some climbing in and I'm thinking Gran Canaria could be a better option than the mainland. I'm looking for sport climbing in the 5.9 - 5.12 range :) Dec 29, 2023
