All of the crags within the New River Gorge proper are on national parklands, and drone use is prohibited here. There has been some discussion about places to launch drones that are not on park property, and then flying them over the gorge. This is super poor form; don't do it. Park regulations prohibit all drone use over the boundaries without a permit.
Description
Small cluster with some high quality climbs including Octagon Control v10, The Frenchman v8 and some tall easy slabs. Easiest access at the NRG. It is a good idea to check the river gauge for Cunard-Fayette Station before coming here– if it's much above 11 feet some boulders will be in the water.
Getting There
Drive past Bridge Buttress to the bottom of the New River Gorge (Fayette Station Rd.), cross the one lane bridge and then turn into the biggest parking lot for rafters. Drive to the very end of this parking lot past a bathroom, to a large boat ramp area on the river. From here, it's just a couple minutes' boulder-hopping downstream to get to the goods.
