Description
This area is a very unique cave located just northeast of Fisher Point, technically in the beginning of Walnut Canyon. It is very dark and cool inside, so be sure to bring a headlamp and belay jacket!
Getting There
Drive 6 miles southeast of Flagstaff on Lake Mary Road and park at the Sandy's Canyon/Pit trailhead parking area. Start west on the Sandy's Canyon Trail (opposite direction to Pit approach) and continue for 3.1 miles to reach Fisher Point. Continue on the trail veering northeast of Fisher Point and pass a sign which designates the beginning of Walnut Canyon. The entrance to the cave is located on right/east side of the canyon approximately .2 miles past the Walnut Canyon sign.
