DescriptionThese are fun, new climbing areas with only a few established lines. There is lots of potential route development. They are right across the wash from the Urban Alpine Crag.
A. Unnamed, 9-, 1p, 40', TR.
B. Short & Sweet, 7 PG-13, 1p, gear or TR.
C. Used Protection, 10, 1p, 40', gear or TR.
D. Sex Ed, 9, 1p, 30', gear.
E. The Bee's Knees, 12, 1p, 40', bolts.
Possibly on Private Property Details
This land may be owned by the quarry down the street. So far, they don't care that we are there, but be respectful.
Getting ThereFrom C-470 and Wadsworth, go south on Wadsworth, then take a right on to Deer Creek Canyon Drive. Go 3-ish miles up the windy Deer Creek Canyon Road keeping an eye out for the Canyon's namesake. Look for the Urban Alpine Crag and just to the right of that is Birds and Bees. Take the trail to Urban Alpine, then find the path of least resistance over to the crag. There is no good trail yet. Try not to completely destroy vegetation.
