Description

This unique crag consists of a series of arches set among jaw dropping views. Southeast and Northwest facing walls mean you can find shade during the summer months on most of the routes. This area is stacked with many difficult routes with in the seven and eight range. There are a couple dozen climbs in this sector along with many more at the crags you will pass on the way to the arches. The most up-to-date beta on the area can be found at Abella de la Concia Eco-Refugi. Nic who owns and operates the hostel helped to develop many of the routes in the area and provides an incredible base camp within walking distance of the walls.

Getting There

After passing through the small village of Abella de la Conca the paved Road will start downhill into an S curve with climb located on both sides of the valley looking up. The approach Trail starts on this S curve and climbs up the valley past numerous walls. Follow the trail on to the left Ridge overlooking the town in valleys below and continue hiking up towards a giant wave shaped face. Brake left underneath a large wall and follow a via ferrata up a steep Rocky section of Ridge before reaching the first small Arch / cave. Continue through this feature another hundred to reach the second Arch and another cave beyond. If you're climbing hard or want spectacular photos this is the place to be. There are Rappel rings at the Via ferrata to descend. Two 70 m rope will get you down in one go. Be careful of rock fall in this area. Not suitable for dogs or non climber.
