Description [Suggest Change]
Pukerua Bay seems to be vastly overlooked by most climbers in the area, but offers some good, albeit short, climbs as well as shelter from the wind on most days. It offers hard bouldering on the Arch 5 minutes from the car, as well as plenty of sport and trad climbs 15-20 minutes down the beach from the car park.
Getting There [Suggest Change]
Find Highway 1. 25 minutes North from Wellington is the town of Pukerua Bay, turn down Pukerua Beach Road to the bottom, turn left on Ocean Parade (the only option) and follow it to the end. From here walk along the beautiful rocky beach for 5 minutes to the Arch or 15-20 minutes to the climbing crags.
