Description

A wonderful, lush setting in thick fern and aspen trees sits amazing quality stone. There is absolutely no choss. This stone is super dense and has amazing grip qualities.

Getting There

10.5 miles south of Rico Colorado take a left at Hillside Drive, and continue 7.5 miles up the road. Park on the right hand side in a nice sized pullout. The first set of boulders will be in the forest to the left, on the uphill side just a couple hundred of feet off the road. This is Hillside East. To reach Hillside West, continue up the road another 5.2 miles. Take a right when the road comes to a Y, continue on another 1.7 miles and pull off right into a hunting camp to park. From here, the boulders are located 0.65 miles downhill. The descent is very steep and can be treacherous, be careful as the boulders are below a crag. The safest approach is staying right of the crag.
