According to section 20.6 of the Rules-and-Regulations handbook (found here: millcreekmetroparks.org/wp-… ), "No person is permitted to climb or rappel hillsides or ravine areas on Park District lands."
Description
The Squid Wall is a giant slab that contains several different problems, ranging from ~8 to ~18 ft. in height. Some of its problems make good warm-ups. It's hidden from cars and pedestrians on New Cross Rd (until you top out), but can be slightly exposed to Bears Den Rd.
Getting There
From the small roadside parking spots that are East of the Cabin, there should be a trail that heads Westward, down between two shoulder-height walls. Following this path and turning about 40 degrees right points you towards the Squid Wall's down climb - a SE corner of a triangle-shaped freestanding boulder with a couple of mellow steps and a flat dirt landing. The Squid Wall is the West face of this boulder (facing the cabin), and that face's aretes.
