Description

This is like a bouldering gym, only made of granite instead of plastic. This featured wall has several problems V2 - V7. It is a perfect option for climbers looking to avoid the crowds at Arthur's, and the approach is actually shorter. The wall consists of a prominent overhang leading to low-angle terrain. Technically this area in in the Horsetooth Mountain Open Space, but as the only sensible approach is from Lory, I have added it here.

Getting There

Park at the Arthur's Rock parking lot, and begin heading south on the South Valley Trail. Soon the trail forks. Take the right fork onto the Mill Creek Link Trail. At the top of the hill, you will reach a junction - left will take you into Horsetooth Open Space, right will take you toward Arthur's Rock. Head left, and pass through the gate into Horsetooth Mountain Open Space. Descend towards Mill Creek keeping your eyes to the left of the trail. Through the trees you will see a large open grassy area. That is where you will find the wall.
