Description

Downeast: Schoodic Point to the Canadian Border

The coast of Downeast Maine has some excellent climbing, the vast majority of which has been completely untapped. Beginning at Schoodic point and running to the border of New Brunswick, there are dozens of interesting islands with crops of rock and nesting seabirds upon them, and the Cutler Coast in particular has sheer cliffs calling to be climbed. Remote Quoddy Head Light hosted one of America's first 5.13s, which languished in obscurity until Alex Honnold repeated it a few years back.

This part of the coast is very rural, and the economy tends to be based around fishing and tourism. People are friendly but thinly spread. There is much adventure to be had.
