Follow all National Park Service regulations. Check in at the Black Rock Nature Center (located in campground) for visitor info and updates on regulations within the Black Rock Canyon Area.
Description
There are very few boulders here. The few that are near the campground are great for early mornings when your climbing partners won't get out of bed. Black Rock Canyon is no Hidden Valley but the boulders that are hear are worth it if you have the time.
Getting There
From HWY 62 turn southbound onto Joshua Lane in Yucca Valley, California. Follow Joshua Lane for 6 miles until you reach Black Rock Canyon Campground. Once you enter the campground there is a parking lot on the east side of the road with a National Park Service information board. Park here and follow the trail shortly until you see a rocky ridge. Climbing is on the south side of the ridge.
